After studying in les Beaux-Arts de Paris (ENSBA) in Olivier
Debré's et Ulrich Rückriem's workshops, i leave
after Olivier
Debré's retirement, end of 1986.
After a few buddies-management shows, i start to develop a work
inspired from this utopic trends of the 30's,
particularly from polish painter Vladyslaw Strzeminski's texts,
and from minimal art :
i aim to create a suspensive moment of grace and pleasure trough purely plastic means,
excluding whatever kind of narration, composition or
symbolic system.
iuse a roll to paint des alternate weaves of all-over
contrasted but constant valued colors,
to create a vibration, allways avoiding any spectacular or brutal effect.
My dearest friends Sylvie Lépine and Catherine
Alestchenkov, then staff members of the ARC (Musée d'Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris),
set-up my first one-person show. i present my first hand-prints:
Then these shows under the prestigious direction of the AAFA
(the french Foreign Affairs Ministry cultural diffusion support):
a one-person paperworks show in Turkey,
(i show painted drawings and my first unist hand prints),
and then
Impressions Libres, two identical shows that will be presented
in the French Cultural Centers all around the globe for two years.
- october 1996: Etienne de Bary,
Centre Culturel Français, Izmir, Turquie.
- march 1997-nov. 1999: Impressions Libres,
with Nadia Mehadji, Peter Bond,
Bruno Yvonnet, Gerard Traquandi and Trois Carrés.
March 1996, i am for the first time father of a little girl.
After ten years of monacal devoting to radical abstraction, this love affair
irremediably alterate my identity. i have doubts about my preachy artist postures,
i want something different, i want to give more pleasure.
i introduce graphic patterns between the paint coats,
i do a lot of photo shootings and i start drawing again.
i do a regular radio broadcasting about the emerging art scene,
and i create Vélodrome,
une Cyberkunsthalle Parisienne an "art center" website on the internet.
- april-may 1997: Nadine de Koenigswarter,
Etienne de Bary, Léonard Rachita,
Studio Jacques de Longeville, Paris.
- march 1998: Surface 1, with Mick Finch, Clément
Rosenthal and Hanibal Srouji,

d'Artistes de Gentilly
Spring 2002, not long before the birth of my second daughter,
i start seeing an analyst
and i am an active part of the rebirth of slalom skateboarding.
i draw loads of ideographic images,
words, or kinds of short poems,
just as they come through my mind, sometimes during sleep.
Spring 2006, as i find the strenght to end an alienating
matrimonial relationship, i start a new abstract and certainly
expressionist work.
